Question 2 - Tell me about your LMS!

If you had to do the LMS implementation all over again, what would you change?

The biggest thing I wish we had done differently was communicate more with our facilitators through the whole process. We did plan for some change management, but we didn't start early enough in the process.

Granted, I'm not sure we wouldn't have had people freak out anyway. But maybe we would have avoided some of the extremes if more people had more time to get used to the idea of change and understand the rationale behind it.

e-Commerce If you are going to offer your courses and classes through an e-Commerce portal, you will need to identify a merchant account that will handle all credit-card verifications and back-end banking. Authorize.net and Paypal are popular examples of such organizations. I need to download more elearning tools. Do you some link of them. Thanks..

Less focus on information dissemination,knowledge management and more focus on facilitating personal learning environment development for students. Better tools for self and peer assessment.

Christy - That's one bonus of having this system already live...I've been doing the change management on this thing since I got here. The amount of buy-in we are trying to achieve, however, is going to make this a sloooow process.

Marvin - no eCommerce needs as of yet. I'm certain one of our stakeholders will eventually come up with something. Thanks for the heads up.

Anonymous - interesting point on focusing on the personal learning environment tools. I suspect this idea will help with some of the end-user marketing beyond what the organization wants to get out of the LMS.
